We had done a bit of wandering around the faire grounds with Daia, Zeyde and Bubbe, Benji's parents, and the munchkins, but then Robin got the idea to show Benji and David where he and I had met. "Wow, this place is so beautiful," Benji gushed as he looked around the clearing in the forest. "It's so amazing seeing so many trees in one place and not still hearing the sounds of the city from outside the park."
"Hey, look here," Robin called out from near the edge of the stream. "There's still some glitter on the grass here. That means this is the very spot where I found my Frodo."
"Well, technically we met over by that tree right there," I said as I pointed. "We chased Tania to here and then she tried to glitter me to death."
"Details," Robin complained. "The point is, this meadow is where I met you and changed my life."
"Not half as much as I changed mine when I found you," I told him as I kissed him on the cheek. "You very literally saved my life that day. If I had left my house five minutes earlier, you would have found a very different sight in this meadow."
"I am so glad our timing was right," he told me as he wrapped his arms around me and held me tightly.
"You and me both," I agreed. "Even if we hadn't fallen in love, I would have had an eternity of guilt over you and sweet, little Tania finding my body."
"Don't even think such dark thoughts any more, my Frodo," he said seriously. "Your fairy prince arrived right on time to save you and whisk you away to my tower room."
"Yeah, where I licked your cum," I admitted, forgetting the other two boys were with us.
"Whoa! I thought you said you guys hadn't done anything," Davey blurted. I blushed and buried my face in Robin's shoulder and neck. "I mean you guys don't have to tell me anything, but you don't have to lie to me." He sounded hurt and I looked up right away.
"I swear we told you the truth, Davey," I told him quickly, and then I related what had happened in the little upper room of the travel trailer.
"You are the only guy I have ever heard of that's tasted cum without tasting the dick it came from," Davey marveled once I'd finished.
A little while later, as we were wandering through the faire grounds once again, Benji reached out and tugged my hand a bit. I slowed my step and let Robin and Davey get a few feet ahead of us. "Can I ask you something?" Benji whispered. "No, I shouldn't. I can't. Never mind. Ignore me."
"I would never ignore you, Benj," I told him with a one-armed hug. "You're my friend, one of my two best friends. Go ahead and ask me whatever it is."
"No, it's too much and it's personal and I shouldn't ask, no matter how much I want to know and it might not even matter anyway because everybody is different, and… and… I just wanted to know so I wouldn't look rutzer in front of him, and I should have kept my mouth shut."
"Benji, slow down," I said with a soft chuckle. "First off, breathe. You're going to hyperventilate or something." He blushed, but took a deep breath. "You don't want to look what in front of who?"
"Rutzer… umm… it means… well it means me; someone who is young and inexperienced," Benji admitted with a blush. "I know he's done lots of stuff with that schmuck who never deserved him, but I haven't done anything with anybody before. I don't want him to dump me because I'm not…."
"OK, hold up, for one thing, he is never going to dump you just because he has done more stuff than you. You should talk to him about the stuff he did and why he did some time. I don't think all of it was exactly his idea, if you know what I mean. Second, whatever it is you're asking me about, if it is this important to you, I will answer you; no matter what it is, even if it's private because I really think I can trust you not to say anything to anyone else."
"I would never," he vowed quickly and seriously.
"Just remember, I haven't really done anything with anyone either. So, what do you want to know?" I asked quietly as we kept walking behind the other boys. He mumbled something I couldn't understand. "What? I didn't catch that, sorry."
"I… umm… I want to know what it tastes like," he whispered as he blushed the reddest I had ever seen a person get.
"What does what taste like?" I questioned. He grabbed me and whispered very softly in my ear. "OH!" I gulped and blushed then as well. "Ok, well, umm… yeah…. First you should know that I only got a tiny bit on my lip, and it wasn't like it was still fresh or anything, so maybe that does something to how it tastes. I mean that's the only time I have so I can't say for sure or anything…."
"Was it nasty?" he looked over at me horrified.
I thought for just a second on how to answer that. I hadn't gotten what I would call a proper taste since there wasn't that much, and like I had just said to him, it wasn't still warm or anything, but I had tasted just enough to answer his question. "No, I don't think it was nasty," I said with a blush. "I… umm… well, let's just say for the sake of science I hope to research the subject further someday."
"Yeah, for science," he giggled and grinned. "Ok, I think maybe I can do some research, too… for science."
"What are you two whispering about?" Davey asked us as he and Robin stopped walking so we could catch up.
"Nothing," Benji and I both blurted quickly and blushed.
"Those are not nothing faces," Robin snorted. "Do those look like nothing faces to you, Davey?"
"No, those are definitely 'not' nothing faces," Davey agreed.
"Ok, detour on the faire grounds tour," Robin announced. He quickly led us all to the travel trailer. Once inside, he directed us all up to the tiny room he and I had shared the night before. "What were you really talking about?" he asked directly.
"I wanted to know what cum tasted like," Benji confessed instantly. "I… Well, I've never done anything with anybody ever, and I don't want to disappoint you, Davey."
"You're worried that you…?" Davey mumbled. He grabbed Benji and hugged him tightly. "I've been worried that you would hate me because you're not my first like I am yours."
"Ok, time for you guys to have another talk," Robin said with a smile. "Come on, Frodo. Let's give them some privacy. But hey, if you guys do anything, do it in that bed," he told them pointing at the one we had not used yet. "We sleep in the other one," he added as he pulled me out of the room.
"ROBIN!" three voices chorused.
"What?" the questionable boy in question responded with a shrug. "I'm just saying…."
"I know what you're just saying, and you can just not say it," I grumped as I grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the trailer. "We should get back to work."
"Yeah, you're right," he agreed. "You know I was just joking with them, right?"
"Yeah, I know," I told him. "I'll even be a good boyfriend and not tell your mother about it."
"Not tell me about what, dear?" No matter what she or Robin may tell anyone, I totally did not scream like a little girl, nor did I jump like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. I do not know what they are talking about because I was totally cool and collected. I was. Ok, yeah, I jumped and squealed.
"Nothing, Daia," I squeaked and blushed.
"Well, I trust the two of you, so I will let you keep being a good boyfriend this time," she said with a wink at the two of us. "I was just going to show our guests the trailer, so they get an idea about the backside of the faire, the reality behind the fantasy as it were."
"Oh, that's a great idea, Daia," I said rather loudly as I opened the door of the trailer we had just shut behind us. "I'm sure Benji's parents will love to see the trailer."
"Hi Mom, Hi Dad," Benji chirped as he stepped out of the trailer. "This thing is awesome. Robin and Frodo get to sleep in the coolest little tower room right up front."
"Hello, everyone," Davey greeted as he stepped out, adjusting the sword of his costume. "I had to take this thing off in there, so it didn't bump into stuff or get stuck somewhere."
"Have you boys been having a good time?" Bubbe asked us all.
"Oh, Bubbe, this is just like going back in time or something," Benji gushed. "There's so much to see and do, and everyone is so nice."
"Nobody seems to even be bothered if Robin and Frodo hold hands, or if we do," Davey added.
"Everyone that works here now has known Robin pretty much all of his life," Daia told them. "They all know about him and Elijah, and they are all just happy that the boys are happy."
"Wait, I'm confused," Benji's mom said. "Is your name Frodo, or Elijah?" she asked me.
"My name is Elijah, but my character is Frodo," I explained. "Robin has called me Frodo from the day we met, so it sort of stuck."
"Wasn't Frodo a character in Lord of the Rings?" Benji's dad asked.
"Yes, sir," Robin answered. "The actor who played that role was Elijah Woods. Well, I met my Elijah in the woods, so…."
"Oy, such a romantic," Bubbe told him as she kissed him on both cheeks. She turned to me and said, "You found a good one, bubelah. You should keep this one."
"I plan to, Bubbe," I smiled. "He's my angel that rescued me and saved my life. I don't ever want to lose him."
"Saved your life?" Benji's mother asked.
"Yes, ma'am," I responded as I hugged Robin to my side. I then told them all the facts about how he and I had met. When I was done, Benji's mother was hugging me and crying so much she couldn't speak. Her husband helped pull her off me as he ruffled my hair affectionately.
"I don't know what it is that so many men with such wonderful sons can't see how proud they should be, and turn to hate instead," he grumbled. "Me, I want my Benjamin happy in life. If that's with his best friend who finally came to his senses and dumped that gold-digging trash, well even better for both of them. I've always loved David like a son, so now he gets to be a son-in-law. It's all good." Davey and Benji both hugged the man tightly but that freed Mrs. Birnbaum up to start crying over me again.
"Now, Frayda, let the boy breathe," Bubbe soothed and pulled the woman away this time. "He's fine now, you see? He has a wonderful life now with his new family."
"I get to see some of my old family now too, though," I pointed out. "My mother's parents live in a nursing home not far from my new home. I'm having my last name changed to theirs, too."
"Is good," Mrs. Frayda finally managed to speak. "Such a man doesn't deserve to have any part of your life, sweet boy. You cast him behind you and never look back. You hear this, Davey. I say this to you, too, Elijah. Never think on the men that failed to love you like they should. Only pay attention to the ones that do."
"You've always been more like a dad to me than mine was," Davey told his boyfriend's father. "But Zeyde has and will always be my number one guy."
"You don't need to butter me up, David," Zeyde told him. "I've told you for your whole life, I'm your Zeyde, I'll always love you. Unless you grow up and turn into an idiot like your father. Even your father I still love, but I can't tolerate what he's done to you and your Benji."
"If Hiram does his job, you'll be our son from now on, David, instead of our grandson," Bubbe announced. "And if Hiram doesn't do his job, he will answer to me. Izzy can tell you that no one ever wants to do that."
"I saw Shimon lie to you once," Mr. Birnbaum said to the old woman. "I never saw him do it again. I also told him when we were in the jail cells next to each other that he was lucky I got to him before you did."
"You told him right, Isaac," Bubbe nodded. "You were always smarter than Shimon about such things."
"You boys haven't filled up on junk food all afternoon have you?" Daia asked us all, changing the subject and lightening the mood once more. "Tonight's dinner is in the mead hall and we are going to stay in costume and in character for it as much as possible. Well at least until the food is officially served, anyway."
"What's going on, Mom? We don't usually do those until Saturdays," Robin pointed out.
"Well, this is Frodo's first full day with us at the faire, so we want to do something a little special for the occasion," Daia answered. "Don't worry about it, and just try your best to stay in character when you're supposed to. It's nothing to be concerned about; just a welcome feast, so to speak."
"Oh, we were supposed to stop by Mr. Hank's forge today," Robin suddenly remembered. "We'd better get going if there's going to be a special dinner tonight."
When the four of us arrived at the blacksmith shop, Mr. Hank was busy putting things away. We all felt our jaws hit the floor when he picked up his anvil and carried it into the workshop. "I had all but lost hope of my young friends remembering me," he called out from inside. "Come, step inside and behold my wares, but stay well away from the rack by the anvil. Those shoes have just come from the forge and will still burn you."
"Wow, this is EPIC!" Benji squealed as he looked around the shop. "It's like really going back in time. How come you have so many different hammers but only one anvil? Oh wow, look at this candle holder, Davey. It's just like the one I seen on that Tuscan website, only this one is real metal not molded resin stuff."
"Of course that's metal, elfling, I am the village smith, am I not?" Hank laughed. He closed the enormous wooden doors on the front of his shop and turned back to us. "Well now, boys, who did you bring with you, Robbie?"
"Well, you already met Frodo, I mean, Elijah this morning," Robin started. "These are really good friends of ours. This is David and the hyper one is Benji."
"I'm not hype…. OOOH Lookit over here! Davey Davey Davey you gotta come see this!"
"No, not hyper at all," Davey snorted as he walked over to join his excited boyfriend. "Hey, this looks like a menorah. Wait, it is one, isn't it? This is the Star of David."
"Yeah, I had a Jewish friend that I was making that for, but sadly he had a heart attack and passed away before I could finish the set for him," Hank told us all.
"The set?" Benji questioned and started looking all around him at the displays of ironworks.
"Yeah, two of those menorah like that one, and a pair of wall sconces with the star on them as well. I finished it all up after he passed, but I never had the heart to do anything with them. I brought that one down from the attic last week so I could maybe use it as a model for a regular candelabrum."
"Oh, please, please, please, can I show the whole set to my mom?" Benji begged. "She's going to have kittens when she sees this."
"Well, sure, I don't see why not," Hank smiled. "Although if she really does have kittens, don't tell my wife. We already have two cats that don't get along."
"SWEET!" Benji squealed and ran for the doors Hank had just closed. He grunted and groaned but they didn't budge. "Guys, a little help here?" he called out. The three of us all went over and grabbed either the door or each other to help pull, but we could only open it an inch or so.
"Step aside before you give yourselves hernias or something," Hank laughed. With one hand, he yanked the door open and Benji darted out to go find his mom. Davey and I just stood there and stared at Hank with our mouths open.
"Holy Crap," I whispered, and then blushed.
"Fuck me," Davey mumbled.
"Sorry, little man, but you wouldn't be my type even if you were legal," Hank teased. "Robbie, you want to come up to the attic with me to get the other four pieces?"
"Sure thing," Robin agreed. "You guys should stop drooling by the time we get back," he told me and Davey.
"I was not drooling," Davey defended loudly and then whispered to me, "Was I?"
"No, and neither was I," I told him as I wiped my chin.
Benji showed up with his mom and Davey's grandmother, practically dragging both women by their arms. His mother looked like she was going to pass out she got so excited over the candleholder set. She bought the set Hank had completed, and immediately gave Bubbe the second menorah. When Benji's Dad came in a couple of moments later, his wife met him at the door.
"Isaac, Isaac," she called out. "Come and see what you bought me for our anniversary."
"Did I miss that again?" he gulped nervously.
"Yes," she hissed coldly. "You did. AGAIN! But you're making it up to me with these candelabra."
"Did I get a good deal on them?"
"Does it matter?" she demanded with her hands on her hips.
"Not a bit, oh, love of my life," he answered quickly and grabbed her hands to kiss them both. "Anything my beautiful wife wants is hers, you know that."
"That's better," she smiled smugly. "Benji, it's almost time for dinner. Help your father take these to the van… carefully. God won't accept a dented menorah, and neither will I."
Davey went with them, leaving Bubbe looking around the shop with me and Robin while Hank finished closing up his shop. "OOO, look at this pretty round candle holder," I called out.
"That's an advent candle ring, isn't it?" Bubbe asked Hank. "And here I thought you were Jewish after the fine work you did on the menorah."
He walked over and nodded with a big smile. "A smart artisan knows that Jews and Christians have one other thing in common besides the Old Testament. They both use green money," he explained with a laugh.
"Well, if you're not Jewish, you're at least a good businessman," Bubbe laughed with him. "Bubelah, you would like this one?" she asked me, pointing at the candle holder.
"It's a special one, isn't it?" I asked them both. "Like the one that Benji's mom bought?"
"Yes, but it's a bit different," Bubbe told me. "If your daia doesn't know the lesson for it, I'm sure your Aunt Rose and Aunt Doris can teach you about it."
"Time to head to the Hall for the banquet, folks," Hank announced. "You do not want to make my little woman mad by being late, because I sure don't. Go ahead and take that piece with you, Frodo. Consider it my gift for tonight."
"Really? Thank you, so much. Wait a minute? What do you mean your gift for tonight?" I asked.
"You'll see when we get you there," Hank smiled.
