Dear Diary

Chapter 9

"Mamee, are you sure this is where we are supposed to be?" Dixon asked from the back seat as they pulled into the mall parking lot. "Wal-Mart is across the street."

"My dear child, why on earth would I want to go to there?" Mamee asked in return. "The formal wear store is in the mall. I seriously doubt that a power hungry discount giant like Wal-Mart would have tuxedos."

"Tuxedos?" both boys asked.

"Certainly," Mamee confirmed. "You don't want to wear dungarees to a formal ball."

"What are dungarees?" Jessie asked.

"She means blue jeans," Huey told them. "Grandmomma calls them dungarees, too. It's an old lady thing."

"I don't think that was intended as a compliment, but I will try to take it as one, nevertheless," Mamee said pointedly.

"I didn't mean…."

"I know perfectly well that you didn't," Mamee smiled. "I believe the term is gotcha."

"Mamee you are too much, you know that?" Huey laughed as he hugged her.

"I think that was a compliment, so thank you," the old lady replied.

"I've never worn a tuxedo before," Dixon murmured as he and Jessie got out of the car.

"Me neither," Jessie added.

"The correct grammar would be either," Mamee corrected Jessie. "There is nothing to fear boys. A tuxedo is just a more formal version of a suit."

"I haven't worn one of them since my parents' funeral," Jessie whispered.

"I'm sorry if we have brought up painful memories, Jessie," Mamee told him. "Give this a chance, though. I think you will find it different enough that you will forget about the similarities."

"I'll do it for you," the boy told her. "I owe you that much for giving me somewhere to stay."

"You do not owe me a thing, Jessie," Mamee told him seriously. "I declare I don't know what it takes to get through to young people these days. I try to make you a part of my family and you act as if I'm torturing you."

"Well, you are making us go shopping," Huey pointed out.

"I'm sorry, Mamee," Jessie told her.

"For heaven's sake, stop apologizing Jessie," Mamee said as she pulled him to her side. "You haven't done anything wrong. I suppose I have by trying to push you too fast into a world you might not be ready for."

"I'd kind of like to try a tuxedo," Dixon announced quietly. "I've seen guys in them on TV before. They look really nice."

"Thank you, Dixon," Mamee told him. "I do indeed think you will be very handsome in a tuxedo. I'm willing to bet young Jessie here will agree once he sees you."

"He'd probably prefer you without it though," Huey observed. Jessie and Dixon both blushed profusely.

"You boys are so precious," Mamee cooed happily. "Let's do some power shopping, boys," she added as she walked toward the entrance of the mall.

"Where do you want to eat, princess?" Philip asked his little sister in the car as they pulled out of the driveway. After the conversation about his distaste for his parents' romantic interludes, he had convinced them that he really was fine with it by asking to take Jason and Priscilla out for dinner. It wasn't a hard sell for Libby, but Sonny had some misgivings. He eventually had given in as well, however.

"Princess?" Priscilla questioned.

"Well I could go back to Prissy if you prefer," Philip retorted.

"I can live with princess," Priscilla replied quickly. "How about pizza?"

"Pizza sounds great to me," Jason added. "Your bodyguards obey your highness," he said to Priscilla with a flourish of his hand. The girl giggled happily in the back seat.

"Once around the park, Philip," she commanded as she sat back in the seat, getting into the play.

"Yes, your highness, of course, your highness," Philip responded formally, before they all broke out in giggles. They weren't giggling when they got inside the pizza house, however.

"Turn right around and leave," the manager ordered as he walked up to them. "We don't serve criminals like you in here."

"We aren't criminals," Jason defended.

"Well, that ain't the way I hear it," the manager responded. "Now go on, before I call the law to have you evicted from the premises."

"Come on Jason," Phillip said loudly. "The last time I ate here, there were dead bugs in my pizza anyway." The three of them turned and left as the dining room full of customers started looking closely at their food.

They hadn't gone far when they saw flashing lights behind them. Philip pulled over to the side of the road and started reaching for his license and registration. A voice on a bullhorn stopped him. "Step out of the car and put your hands on your head."

"Is he serious?" Philip asked.

"He sure sounds it," Jason added.

"I repeat," the voice bellowed. "Step out of the car and put your hands on your head. NOW!"

"You'd better do it," Jason advised.

"Now the passenger in the front seat will get out of the car on the passenger side. Hands on your head, boy."

"That's Uncle Jimmy!" Jason gasped. He got out of the car on his side as Philip got out on the driver's side.

"Both of you face the vehicle," Officer Dupuis ordered. "Don't move a muscle."

"Uncle Jimmy what is this?" Jason called out.

"I told you not to call me that, fag!" the policeman barked. "Now shut up. I'll do the talking here." By this time he was standing next to Philip.

"What's the problem officer?" Philip asked. He cried out in pain as the cop hit him on the side of the head with the butt of the gun he held in his hand.

"The problem is that you two faggots can't learn to shut up when told," the cop snarled. "Now let's see what we have here," he added as he shone his flashlight into the back seat directly in Priscilla's face. "Well, well, well, another child molestation in progress, I see," he said nastily. "At least you got the right sex this time."

"They were not hurting me," Priscilla snapped. "You leave them alone."

"You go set in the back seat of my patrol car, little one," Officer Dupuis ordered her. "Go on, now," he added as he waved the gun in her face. Priscilla ran to his car and did as she was told.

"Now that's a real obedient child," the cop observed aloud. "Just the kind you two like, ain't it? She does everything you tell her, don't she, boy?" he asked Philip.

"She's my sister," Philip answered.

"Nobody told you to speak, you son of a bitch," the cop snapped as he struck Philip again with the gun. Blood trickled from Philip's mouth.

"Leave him alone, you jackass!" Jason yelled. He was about to come around the car, but the gun pointed in his direction stopped him.

Officer Dupuis grabbed Philip by the neck and slung him around the back of the car so that all three of them were on the passenger side. "You boys just insist on making trouble for yourselves now, don't you?" He didn't wait for an answer since he obviously didn't want one. "Look what I found in the car," he said as he reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a syringe. "Now I'm really disappointed in you Jason. Your daddy would have had a stroke if he knew that you were into drugs and messing with little kids."

"I'm not, and you know it," Jason snapped.

"I don't think you get it yet, boy," the cop returned. "I'm in charge here. I'm the law."

"You're just a homophobic redneck with a badge," Philip retorted. That gained him another blow from the gun.

"Strip boys," the cop ordered. "I've got to search you boys for more drugs."

"You can't do that here," Jason told him. "We have to go to the station to be strip searched."

"That was when your daddy was around, Jason," Dupuis smiled evilly. "He ain't here to blow no more whistles on our department." He saw the look of shock on Jason's face. "You didn't think we knew that he was a state police plant, did you? Well, we ain't as dumb as your daddy thought we were, or you either. Now I said strip." He watched with a sadistic grin as the two boys stripped to their underwear beside the car. "Everything boys," he ordered. He took their clothes and then handcuffed them both to the car. "We're going to make sure y'all don't get out of this one, boys," he said as he walked back to his car, still holding their clothes.

"What is he talking about?" Philip asked after the cop walked away.

"I don't know," Jason answered. "I think he's just trying to scare us. Are you alright?"

"I think he's loosened a couple of my teeth," Philip answered. "I'll survive." He turned to look at the patrol car. To his horror, he could see it was bouncing. "NOOOO!!!!!"

Dear Diary,

The tuxedo store was nothing like shopping for clothes has ever been before. We walked in and Mamee told the guy behind the little desk what we were there for. He didn't look like he was any older than Huey. He looked at the three of us and got this really funny grin on his face and said that he would be happy to help. Jessie leaned over and whispered that he looked too happy to help. I wasn't sure what he meant, but we soon found out.

Huey said he would go first. He had the same funny grin on his face that the store guy did. The store guy said that Mamee could go to the coffee shop next door while he got the measurements of the gentlemen. I looked around but I didn't see any men in the store. Mamee looked at us and said she thought that might be best. Then she left us in that store with that weird guy.

He told us to follow him to the room at the back of the store for a little privacy. I wasn't sure what we needed privacy for, but I followed him anyway. Boy was he right about needing privacy. The first thing he told us to do when we got behind the curtain was to take our clothes off.

I wasn't about to do that in front of a stranger, but Huey started stripping right away. He took everything but his boxers off. He looked over at us and said it would be okay, so me and Jessie took our clothes off too. Jesse was in his tighty whiteys and I was in boxers.

The store guy walked up to Huey with a tape measure thing and wrapped it around Huey's neck. After that, he rolled it down Huey's arm, and then he wrapped it around Huey's tummy. It was what he did then that we needed the privacy for, for sure.

He held one end of the tape thingy at Huey's ankle and then he rolled it up the inside of Huey's leg. He went all the way up his leg too. I mean his hand was right up against Huey's…. well it was right up there. Huey got this big grin on his face, too. He must have really liked it. I could hear the guy whispering to Huey, but I couldn't tell what he was saying. Huey didn't talk back, though; he just nodded or shook his head. He started getting bigger… down there. The guy kept his hand there a while, too.

The store guy finally stood up and looked over at Jessie and me. Actually, he never looked up at our faces. He looked right at our... well, he looked there. Jesse was showing a bit of a bulge down there. I wonder if that's why the guy picked him next.

The guy did the same thing with the tape measuring thing on Jessie that he had done with Huey. It was kind of more obvious that Jessie liked it since he wasn't wearing boxers. He got real hard in fact. I was kind of jealous for a minute, but then I realized that it probably did feel good. It didn't mean that he wanted to play around with the guy. The store guy wasn't even to blame much, cause he was just doing his job.

It was just like in the hospital, my cute doctors had all touched me, you know, there. They did it way more than this guy was doing, and it felt really good, but I didn't want to mess around with any of them. Well, maybe Dr. Marc, he is really really hot, but only if Jesse and me hadn't gotten back together.

When it was my turn, Jessie got kind of jealous I think. He said that the guy couldn't measure my legs that way. He said I was hurt there, but he didn't say how or why. The store guy got real sympathetic. He said he could measure my legs a different way. I told him I didn't hurt that much anymore. Jessie got a real funny look on his face when I said that. The store guy saw it too.

He asked if Jessie was my my boyfriend. I said yes before I could stop myself. I got kind of scared then. The guy told me it was okay, though. He said his boyfriend owned the store. I relaxed some after that. If my thing was ready to work, I'll bet I would have been just as hard as Jessie by the time he was done with my measuring.

I didn't realize that I had said that out loud either, but I must have. The guy looked up at me with a big grin and whispered something to me. He said it didn't matter if it didn't work right now. I still had my mouth and my butt, and obviously Jessie worked just fine. I didn't tell him that Jessie was hurt too.

HEY! I just figured out what he meant. Sorry diary, I got to go find Jessie now. Seeya!

Dixie Pixie (Jesse can still call me that.)
